Regenerative agriculture goes beyond "sustainable" by actively restoring soil organic matter, microbial diversity and water cycles. Practices include no-till planting, cover cropping, rotational grazing, agroforestry and integrated pest management.
Certifications include Regenerative Organic Certified (ROC), Land to Market (Savory Institute), and Demeter (biodynamic). Each requires year-on-year improvement in measured soil and ecosystem indicators, not a one-time audit.
